Alors le Seigneur—avec Sa Śakti—se leva et accomplit une belle adoration auprès de ce Liṅga. Ensuite ils entrèrent dans la quiétude ; et les dieux, criant « Victoire ! Victoire ! », louèrent ce Seigneur.
Narrator within Kāśīkhaṇḍa (contextual)
Tirtha: Viśveśvara Liṅga (Kāśī)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pilgrimage audience; framed for the interlocutors of the Kāśī-māhātmya
Scene: Śiva and Śakti rise, approach the Liṅga, and perform an exquisite pūjā with flowers, bilva, incense, lamps; afterward, a hush of stillness descends while gods shower praise chanting ‘Jaya!’.
The Liṅga is so supremely sacred that even Īśa with Śakti models worship there, and the devas respond with praise—affirming the site’s exalted status.
The Liṅga described in this Kāśī chapter (Viśveśvara context), within the Maṇikarṇikā–Ānandavana sacred geography.
Cāru-pūjā (beautiful/complete worship) of the Liṅga, followed by stuti (praise); it reinforces pūjā as the normative act in the kṣetra.
