Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 43

वेणुवादनतत्त्वज्ञः स्वयं श्रुतिधरोभवत् । नृत्यं परिसमाप्येत्थं व्यासः सत्यवतीसुतः

veṇuvādanatattvajñaḥ svayaṃ śrutidharobhavat | nṛtyaṃ parisamāpyetthaṃ vyāsaḥ satyavatīsutaḥ

Ainsi Vyāsa, fils de Satyavatī — connaisseur des principes intérieurs de la musique de la flûte et lui-même véritable porteur du Veda — mit un terme à sa danse.
