Type: kund
Scene: A lotus-shaped pool/ford with blooming lotuses; pilgrims bathe and offer tarpaṇa; subtle presence of pitṛs receiving satisfaction, depicted as serene ancestral figures in the background sky.
Purification is not only personal; dharma includes care for the ancestral line, and tīrtha-rites are said to benefit both self and pitṛs.
Padma-tīrtha, described as lotus-shaped and effective for pitṛ-satisfaction.
Snāna (bathing) and related observances (snānādi) at the tīrtha.
