durgastho nābhibhūyeta vipakṣaḥ kenacitkvacit | svataṃtraṃ yadi durgaṃ syādamarmajñaprakāśitam
«Celui qui demeure dans une forteresse n’est vaincu par l’ennemi ni en aucun lieu ni en aucun temps, pourvu que la forteresse soit autonome et que ses points faibles ne soient pas divulgués par qui n’en connaît pas les secrets.»
