Skanda
Tirtha: Janakeśa (and adjacent Jñāna-prada liṅga)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣis/pilgrims
Scene: Two liṅgas: Janakeśa grand and steady; beside it a luminous ‘jñāna-prada’ presence. A sādhaka offers worship, then sits in meditation as a subtle light rises from the liṅga into the crown of the head.
True worship of Śiva in Kāśī is not only merit-giving but wisdom-giving—ripening into brahmajñāna.
Janakeśa Mahāliṅga and a nearby jñāna-bestowing liṅga within Kāśī’s sacred precincts.
Varivasyā—devotional service/worship of the liṅga.
