इति रत्नावली श्रुत्वा ससंदेहां च तद्गिरम् । वयस्यास्तदवाप्तौ मे यूयं कुंठि मुमूर्छ ह

iti ratnāvalī śrutvā sasaṃdehāṃ ca tadgiram | vayasyāstadavāptau me yūyaṃ kuṃṭhi mumūrcha ha

Ayant entendu ces paroles, Ratnāvalī, encore pleine de doute, dit à ses compagnes : «Pour me l’obtenir, vous êtes devenues hésitantes», puis elle tomba en évanouissement.
