Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) (deduced for Brāhma-khaṇḍa narration)
Tirtha: Rāmanātheśvara
Type: kshetra
Scene: At blazing midday, a pilgrim stands before the liṅga; harsh sunlight outside contrasts with cool sanctum darkness. Thousands of dark droplets (sins of intoxication) evaporate instantly as the devotee’s gaze meets the liṅga.
Tīrtha-darśana is portrayed as a powerful prāyaścitta that can rapidly burn away severe moral impurities.
Rāmeśvaram/Setu, through the liṅga of Rāmanātheśvara.
Seeing the liṅga at midday (madhyāhna-darśana).
