निदधे तत्फलं कर्णे सकृमि द्विजसत्तमाः । तक्षकोऽस्मिन्स्थितः पूर्वं कृमिरूपी फले तदा

nidadhe tatphalaṃ karṇe sakṛmi dvijasattamāḥ | takṣako'sminsthitaḥ pūrvaṃ kṛmirūpī phale tadā

Ô meilleurs des brāhmaṇas, il posa ce fruit—avec le ver—sur son oreille. Car Takṣaka demeurait déjà auparavant dans ce fruit, y prenant alors la forme d’un ver.
