Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 200

तस्माद्भाद्र पदे मासे दुराचार पितॄन्प्रति । ब्राह्मणान्भोजयान्नेन षड्रसेन सभक्तिकम्

tasmādbhādra pade māse durācāra pitṝnprati | brāhmaṇānbhojayānnena ṣaḍrasena sabhaktikam

Ainsi, au mois de Bhādrapada, si l’on s’est mal conduit envers les Pitṛs (ancêtres), qu’on nourrisse avec révérence des brāhmaṇas d’un repas doté des six saveurs, uni à la dévotion.
