Type: kshetra
Listener: Bhairava
Scene: Śiva instructs Bhairava: a year-long vow, wandering to all sacred fords, bathing for self-purification; Brahmahatyā looms as the motivating shadow.
Purification is achieved through disciplined vow (vrata), pilgrimage, and ritual bathing aligned with dharma.
The verse broadly glorifies all tīrthas (sarvatīrtha) as instruments of purification.
A one-year vrata combined with tīrtha-yātrā and snāna (ritual bathing).
