Type: kund
Listener: Viprāḥ (implied continuing audience)
Scene: Indra, now purified, departs the sacred bank with a lighter aura; a dark stain/phantom of brahmahatyā dissolves behind him; the tīrtha shines as ‘uttama’.
The Purāṇas validate tīrtha-mahātmya through exemplars—Indra’s purification serves as proof of the site’s sanctity.
Sītākuṇḍa, called the supreme kuṇḍa and praised for its prabhāva.
The verse highlights the result; the rites are the previously described worship and bathing at Sītākuṇḍa.
