तस्मिन्वने शुचिर्नाम वर्ततेस्म महामुनिः । तपसमाधिसंयुक्तो वेदाध्ययनतत्परः

tasminvane śucirnāma vartatesma mahāmuniḥ | tapasamādhisaṃyukto vedādhyayanatatparaḥ

Dans cette même forêt demeurait un grand sage nommé Śuci, uni à l’austérité et au profond samādhi, et tout entier voué à l’étude des Veda.
