It teaches that humility (praṇāma) and heartfelt praise (stuti) purify the soul and align the devotee with Pati—Śiva—so devotion and sacred recitation become direct means toward grace and liberation.
By praising Śiva through many names and hymns, the devotee approaches Saguna Śiva—the gracious Lord who accepts worship through form (including the Liṅga) and through sound (nāma and stotra), revealing His compassion to the bound soul.
Perform praṇāma, chant hymns to Śiva, and recite the Śatarudrīya as a disciplined practice of japa and Vedic stuti—especially suitable for Śiva-pūjā and observances like Mahāśivarātri.
