Selon la mesure de la foi de chacun—et aussi selon sa condition dans le monde—le Seigneur accorde des fruits tels que la santé et d’autres bienfaits, suivant une gradation du plus grand au moindre.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Jyotirlinga: Viśvanātha
Sthala Purana: As Viśveśvara/Viśvanātha, Śiva is famed as the granter of boons and welfare to devotees according to their śraddhā; the verse reflects the Kashi-theology of graded fruits through devotion and right approach.
Significance: Darśana and pūjā are taught as yielding proportionate fruits (ārogya, prosperity, protection), culminating—when joined with higher bhakti and jñāna—in Śiva’s saving grace (anugraha).
It teaches that Śiva’s anugraha (grace) manifests in proportion to śraddhā and preparedness; the fruits appear in a graded way, aligning inner devotion with outward results.
In Linga (saguṇa) worship, the devotee approaches Śiva through a tangible form; this verse explains why devotees experience different outcomes—Śiva responds to the depth of faith and the devotee’s circumstance.
Strengthen śraddhā through steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and regular Linga-pūjā; consistent practice is implied as the cause of higher, more refined fruits.
