Acquisition of Paśupati–Pāśa Knowledge
नैवास्य भविता कश्चिन्नासौ भवति कस्यचित् । पथि संगम एवायं दारैः पुत्रैश्च बंधुभिः
naivāsya bhavitā kaścinnāsau bhavati kasyacit | pathi saṃgama evāyaṃ dāraiḥ putraiśca baṃdhubhiḥ
Nul ne lui appartient en vérité, et lui-même n’appartient en vérité à personne. Avec l’épouse, les enfants et les proches, ce n’est qu’une rencontre sur la route—une compagnie fortuite au cours du voyage du saṁsāra.

Tattva Level: pasha
It teaches vairāgya: worldly relationships are temporary associations in saṁsāra. Recognizing this loosens pāśa (bondage) so the paśu (bound soul) can turn toward Pati (Lord Shiva) for liberation.
By highlighting the impermanence of human supports, it redirects reliance toward Shiva as the enduring refuge. Linga-worship embodies that steady center—Saguna devotion that matures into realization of Shiva beyond all transient bonds.
Daily japa of the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) and mindful contemplation that all relations are ‘pathi-saṅgama’ (meetings on the road), cultivating inner steadiness and dispassion.
