सत्रप्रवृत्तिः — वायोः आगमनं च
Commencement of the Satra and the Arrival of Vāyu
इत्यादिश्य वयं सर्वे प्रेषिता परमेष्ठिना । अस्मिन्देशे महाभाग तवागमनकांक्षिणः
ityādiśya vayaṃ sarve preṣitā parameṣṭhinā | asmindeśe mahābhāga tavāgamanakāṃkṣiṇaḥ
Ainsi instruits, nous avons tous été dépêchés par Parameṣṭhin (Brahmā). Ô grand et fortuné, en ce pays nous attendons, aspirant à ta venue.

It highlights divine order (ājñā) and readiness to serve a higher cosmic purpose—an attitude of disciplined devotion that supports the Shaiva path of grace (śiva-anugraha) and right alignment with dharma.
Though the verse names Brahmā, the narrative tone of the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā frames events as preparations for meeting and receiving higher teaching—often culminating in devotion to Shiva as the supreme Pati, approached through saguna forms such as the Liṅga for worship and contemplation.
The takeaway is attentive waiting and obedience to sacred instruction: maintain japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and purity of conduct while awaiting the guru/teaching, as one would prepare for Shiva’s grace.
