Inquiry into Pramāṇa, Divine Autonomy, and Grace
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Frames ‘hita’ (true welfare) as identical with Śiva’s anugraha; encourages aligning one’s life and worship with divine command as the direct means to receive grace.
It identifies true “hita” (spiritual welfare) with alignment to Shiva’s will, teaching that what genuinely benefits the soul is not mere worldly gain but Shiva’s anugraha (grace) leading the seeker toward liberation.
Linga-worship trains the devotee in disciplined obedience—daily pūjā, purity, mantra, and vows—so that actions become offerings aligned with Saguna Shiva’s command, opening the heart to His grace which is the real “benefit.”
Practice śaraṇāgati through daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and intentional karma-arpana (offering actions to Shiva), treating every duty as service done for the highest good.
