Shiva Purana — Vayaviya Samhita, Shloka 44

सर्‍वेश्वर-परमकारण-निरूपणम् / The Supreme Lord as the Uncaused Cause

कश्चित्क्षीणपदो भूत्वा पुनरावर्त्य मुच्यते । कश्चिदध्वगतस्तस्मिन् स्थित्वास्थित्वा विमुच्यते

kaścitkṣīṇapado bhūtvā punarāvartya mucyate | kaścidadhvagatastasmin sthitvāsthitvā vimucyate

Certains, épuisés sur la voie, reviennent en arrière, et pourtant sont ensuite délivrés. D’autres, entrés dans cette même voie, y demeurent avec fermeté; et, après y séjourner et poursuivre, ils parviennent à la libération totale.
