The Supreme Lord as the Uncaused Cause

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
Type: stotra
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: mahapralaya
It affirms Shiva as Pati—the ultimate ground in whom the universe arises and into whom it dissolves—guiding the seeker to disidentify from transient forms and seek liberation through devotion and right knowledge.
The Linga signifies the changeless reality that supports all change; worship of Saguna Shiva (with form) trains the mind to rest in that one Lord who manifests the cosmos and also withdraws it at pralaya.
Contemplate Shiva as the inner support of arising and passing experiences while repeating the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offering all perceptions back into Him as a daily practice of reabsorption (laya).
