FAQs

It highlights the guru-like authority of Brahmā within the Purāṇic dialogue: when the sages offer reverent praise, sacred teaching flows—meant to steady and uplift seekers on the Shaiva path toward clarity and liberation.

Though the verse does not name the Liṅga directly, it sets the narrative stage for Shaiva instruction: the sages’ devotion and Brahmā’s solemn reply typically introduce teachings where Saguna worship (forms, rites, praise) becomes a doorway to realizing Shiva’s highest truth.

The implied practice is śravaṇa (reverent listening) and stuti (praise) before instruction—approaching Shaiva teachings with humility, then contemplating them steadily like mantra-japa, even if no specific bhasma/rudrākṣa rite is stated in this line.
