Dadhīci dit : «Quel fruit ce sacrifice peut-il porter si l’on y honore d’autres dieux ? Car si tu ne vénères pas Rudra comme le souverain de ce rite, quelle royauté véritable ce sacrifice possède-t-il ?»
Sage Dadhichi
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Offering: naivedya
It declares that ritual action (yajña) becomes spiritually fruitful only when oriented to Rudra, the supreme Pati; otherwise the rite remains outward and incomplete.
By insisting on Rudra as the ‘king’ of the sacrifice, it supports Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—as the concrete focus through which the rite is offered to the highest reality.
Make Rudra the principal deity of worship—perform Rudra-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as the inner offering that completes external ritual.
