Manifestation of Ardhanārīśvara and the Impulse for Procreative Creation
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Umā
Role: liberating
Offering: dhupa
It describes the highest, undisturbed, transcendent state associated with the Lord—beyond guṇas and worldly appearance—pointing the seeker toward liberation through inner continuity (unbroken awareness) and nearness to Īśvara.
Though the verse speaks in nirguṇa terms, Shaiva tradition holds that saguna worship (such as Linga-pūjā) purifies the mind and leads the devotee to realize the same partless, unshaken reality of Shiva beyond manifestation.
Meditation on uninterrupted awareness (nirantara smaraṇa) with japa of the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” supported by simple Shiva-upāsanā like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa, aligns the mind toward the undisturbed, nirguṇa goal.
