Classification of Creation: the Nine Sargas and the Streams of Beings

एवं स्तुत्वा महादेवं ब्रह्मा लोकपितामहः । प्रार्थयामास विश्वेशं गिरा प्रणतिपूर्वया । भगवन् भूतभव्येश मम पुत्र महेश्वर । सृष्टिहेतोस्त्वमुत्पन्नो ममांगे ऽनंगनाशनः

evaṃ stutvā mahādevaṃ brahmā lokapitāmahaḥ | prārthayāmāsa viśveśaṃ girā praṇatipūrvayā | bhagavan bhūtabhavyeśa mama putra maheśvara | sṛṣṭihetostvamutpanno mamāṃge 'naṃganāśanaḥ

Ainsi, après avoir loué Mahādeva, Brahmā—l’aïeul des mondes—implora humblement Viśveśa par des paroles de prosternation révérencieuse : «Ô Bhagavān, Maître du passé et de l’avenir ; ô Maheśvara, mon fils ; ô Ananga-nāśana, destructeur de Kāma : pour l’œuvre de la création, Tu t’es manifesté à partir de mon propre corps.»
