Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches that auspicious discipline—rising with reverence and engaging in kīrtana—causes inner sukha to grow, because remembrance of realized seers strengthens dharma and devotion that lead toward Shiva’s grace.
Kīrtana is a primary mode of Saguna Shiva-upāsanā: praising Shiva, His devotees, and the rishis who preserved the Shaiva path supports steady devotion, which matures into deeper contemplation of Shiva beyond form.
Begin the day by rising early, then perform Shiva-nāma-kīrtana (e.g., chanting “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and recite or remember the lineage of rishis/acharyas; this is a simple daily sādhana aligned with Shaiva bhakti.
