Genealogy of Svāyambhuva Manu and the Dhruva Episode
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Bhairava
Mantra: हुं
Role: destructive
It shows that adharma rooted in arrogance becomes a binding pasha (bond) that destroys spiritual welfare; the sages, established in dharma, act as instruments to restore cosmic order.
Vena’s disrespect implies rejection of sacred order and rightful worship; in Shaiva understanding, honoring Shiva’s dharma and the sanctity upheld by realized sages supports proper Saguna worship that purifies the devotee.
Cultivate humility and dharmic conduct before worship; approach japa (especially the Panchakshara) and Shiva-puja with reverence for gurus and saints, avoiding apacāra (ritual and ethical offenses).
