Nandikeśvara: Incarnation, Consecration, and Marriage—Description
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
The verse praises Shiva as the supreme Lord (Pati) endowed with unsurpassed sovereignty and yogic mastery, affirming Him as the ultimate refuge and source—worthy of devotion and contemplation for liberation.
By describing Shiva through exalted attributes (lordship, yogic greatness, cosmic fatherhood), it supports Saguna upasana—devotion to Shiva with qualities—commonly approached through Linga worship as the accessible, sanctified form of the Supreme.
Meditate on Shiva as Mahayogi while repeating the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namah Shivaya); worship can be supported with Tripundra (bhasma) and Rudraksha as aids to steadiness and Shaiva remembrance.
