The Account of Viśvānara Gṛhapati and Śiva’s Descent into the House of Fire
विश्वानर उवाच । एकम्ब्रह्मैवाद्वितीयं समस्तं सत्यंसत्यं नेह नानास्ति किञ्चित् । एको रुद्रो न द्वितीयोऽवतस्थे तस्मादेकन्त्वाम्प्रपद्ये महेशम्
viśvānara uvāca | ekambrahmaivādvitīyaṃ samastaṃ satyaṃsatyaṃ neha nānāsti kiñcit | eko rudro na dvitīyo'vatasthe tasmādekantvāmprapadye maheśam
Viśvānara dit : «Tout ceci est en vérité l’unique Brahman, sans second—vérité, vérité en effet ; ici il n’existe pas la moindre pluralité. Rudra seul demeure, sans autre. C’est pourquoi, ô Maheśa, je prends refuge en Toi comme en l’Un».
