दिव्यरथारोहणम् — Śiva’s Ascent on the Divine Chariot

Pre-battle Portents

FAQs

It portrays a cosmic upheaval where even the world-supporting Śeṣa trembles, pointing to the Shaiva Siddhanta insight that all supports (tattvas and cosmic beings) are finite, while Pati—Lord Shiva—alone is the ultimate ground and protector.

Such cosmic trembling underscores the need for a stable refuge; Saguna Shiva worship—especially through the Śiva-liṅga—centers devotion on the Lord who transcends and steadies the changing cosmos, making the liṅga a focus for surrender and grace.

In times of fear or instability, repeat the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with steady breath and mind; optionally apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder of impermanence and Shiva as the enduring reality.
