तस्मिंश्च समये यच्च रूपं तस्य महात्मनः । जातं तद्वर्णितुं शक्यं न हि वर्षशतैरपि
tasmiṃśca samaye yacca rūpaṃ tasya mahātmanaḥ | jātaṃ tadvarṇituṃ śakyaṃ na hi varṣaśatairapi
Et, à cet instant même, la forme qui se manifesta de ce grand être était telle qu’on ne saurait la décrire en vérité, fût-ce en des centaines d’années.

It teaches that Shiva’s manifested (saguṇa) glory surpasses ordinary speech and time, drawing the devotee from limited perception toward reverent awe and inward contemplation of Pati, the Supreme Lord.
When Shiva’s form is said to be beyond description, the tradition points devotees to accessible supports of worship—especially the Śiva-liṅga—through which the indescribable Lord is approached with devotion, mantra, and ritual.
Japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady dhyāna on Shiva’s luminous presence (often before a liṅga), cultivating humility and one-pointed bhakti.
