Sūta dit : Ayant ainsi entendu les paroles de Vyāsa, ce seigneur parmi les sages, Sanatkumāra, se souvint des pieds de lotus de Śiva, puis se mit à parler.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Mantra: śivapadāṃbujam (smaraṇa of Śiva’s lotus-feet)
Role: teaching
It shows the Shaiva ideal that true teaching begins with remembrance of Pati—Śiva’s lotus-feet—placing discourse under divine grace and aligning the mind toward liberation.
Remembering Śiva’s lotus-feet expresses Saguna devotion (bhakti with form), the same devotional orientation used in Liṅga-worship, where the worshipper first invokes and mentally approaches Śiva before speaking or acting.
Begin recitation or study with smaraṇa (remembrance) of Śiva—mentally dwelling on Śiva’s feet—optionally preceded by Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and a brief dhyāna.
