Tripura Dīkṣā: Prescriptive Procedure
Chapter on the Ordinance of Initiation
Suta Goswami (narrating the dialogue within the Yuddhakhaṇḍa context)

It teaches that genuine inner resolve toward dharma must be sealed by dīkṣā—formal spiritual commitment—so the seeker’s will becomes disciplined practice leading toward Shiva’s grace and liberation.
In Shaiva tradition, dīkṣā commonly authorizes and stabilizes Saguna Shiva worship—such as Linga-pūjā with mantra and observances—so devotion is aligned with dharma rather than mere impulse.
The takeaway is to receive (or renew) dīkṣā and then uphold regular mantra-japa and disciplined worship—typically centered on Shiva-mantra practice—under a qualified preceptor in accordance with dharma.
