FAQs

This is a colophon verse marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually, it frames the battle narrative as Purāṇic instruction on Shiva’s guardianship of dharma—Saguna Shiva acting within time to restore order while remaining the supreme Pati beyond it.

Though it is a chapter-ending formula, it situates the listener in the Yuddha-khaṇḍa where Saguna Shiva’s protection and grace are highlighted; such narratives support devotion to Shiva—often expressed through Liṅga worship—as the accessible form of the transcendent Lord.

No specific rite is prescribed in this colophon, but the takeaway is śravaṇa (devotional listening/recitation) of the Śiva Purāṇa with remembrance of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating bhakti and inner alignment with Shiva’s dharmic power.
