Sūta Gosvāmi (narrating the dialogue; within the scene, Hari/Vishnu speaks to Vidhi/Brahmā)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
The verse highlights that divine instruction is often transmitted as a “rahasya” (inner secret) and must be received with the right “vidhi” (method). Even exalted gods rely on revealed guidance, pointing to humility and disciplined adherence to the proper spiritual means on the path to Shiva’s grace.
By emphasizing “vidhi” and “rahasya,” the verse supports the Shaiva Purana’s approach that Saguna Shiva worship (including Linga-puja) is not merely symbolic but method-based—performed according to prescribed ordinances that carry inner meaning and lead the devotee toward Shiva-realization.
The takeaway is to seek the correct procedure (vidhi) for practice—such as Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with purity, right intention, and scriptural method—treating the practice as a guarded inner discipline rather than a casual recitation.
