Account of Viṣṇu’s Stratagem and Its Aftermath

The verse highlights deva-humility and dharmic obedience: even the gods respond with reverent namaskāra when directed toward the Divine Feminine (Śakti), acknowledging that grace and power operate through revered divine forms.
In Shaiva understanding, Saguna worship includes honoring Śiva together with Śakti; reverence to Gaurī (Śiva’s power) supports the completeness of devotion, where the Liṅga is not merely a symbol but the living presence of Pati with His manifest energies.
A direct takeaway is disciplined namaskāra (prostration) with bhāva before Śiva-Śakti—optionally accompanied by japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—as a practice of surrender and receptivity to divine command and grace.
