FAQs

It portrays how adharmic forces (Daityas) become unstable and scattered when confronted by a higher divine power; in Shaiva thought, this mirrors the soul’s impurities being shaken loose when grace and right order prevail.

Even when the narrative describes battlefield power, the Shaiva frame points to Saguna Shiva’s governance of cosmic order: devotion to Shiva (often centered on the Liṅga) steadies the devotee as turbulent forces are dispersed like clouds.

A practical takeaway is steadiness through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and grounding disciplines like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—supports for calming the ‘storm’ of inner agitation.
