अध्याय १७ — देवपलायनं, विष्णोः प्रतियुद्धं, जलंधरक्रोधः

युद्धेन ते महादैत्य प्रसन्नोऽस्मि महान्भवान् । न दृष्टस्त्वत्समो वीरस्त्रैलोक्ये सचराचरे
yuddhena te mahādaitya prasanno'smi mahānbhavān | na dṛṣṭastvatsamo vīrastrailokye sacarācare
Ô grand Daitya, je suis comblé par ce combat que tu as livré. Tu es véritablement puissant. Dans les trois mondes—parmi les êtres mobiles et immobiles—je n’ai vu aucun héros égal à toi.
