Devas’ Rout, Viṣṇu’s Counterattack, and Jalandhara’s Wrath
Sūta Gosvāmī (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pasha
The verse highlights the irresistible force of divine ordinance (daiva): a weapon with “unfailing course” symbolizes karmic inevitability within the cosmic order, reminding the seeker that worldly power and conflict remain within the Lord-governed field of māyā and discipline.
Though the verse depicts battle action, the Shaiva Siddhanta lens treats such events as līlā within Saguna expression—forms and forces move under the Supreme Lord’s governance; devotion to the Liṅga steadies the aspirant beyond the turbulence of conflict and duality.
Meditatively, contemplate “amogha” (unfailing) as the steadiness of japa: practice the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with unwavering focus, supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and rudrākṣa as aids for disciplined remembrance.
