कैलासमार्गे शङ्करस्य परीक्षा — Śiva Tests the Approachers on the Kailāsa Path
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that sincere stuti (devotional praise) invokes Śiva’s anugraha (grace), and that grace ripens into a boon aligned with dharma—here, honoring the act of preserving life and granting uplifting renown.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva as the responsive Lord who hears praise and bestows blessings. In Linga-worship, devotees similarly offer stotra and pūjā, seeking Śiva’s compassionate bestowal of protection, merit, and right spiritual identity.
A practical takeaway is regular stotra-pāṭha and nāma-smaraṇa of Śiva with a service-oriented vow (protecting life, practicing compassion), offered with bhakti as part of daily Linga-pūjā.
