Ainsi, ayant obtenu trois fils, les fils de Tāraka s’établirent solidement dans leur souveraineté ; puissants en force et en vaillance, ils goûtèrent à toutes les jouissances et aux pouvoirs du monde.

Sthala Purana: Tripura narrative continuation: Tāraka’s three sons consolidate power and indulge in bhoga, a classic prelude to adharma that necessitates Śiva’s corrective act; not tied to a specific Jyotirliṅga site.
It highlights how prosperity, progeny, and power can intensify attachment (bhoga) and ego, becoming a bond (pāśa) that turns the soul away from devotion to Pati (Śiva) and toward adharma.
By contrasting asuric enjoyment with dharmic restraint, the narrative implicitly points to Saguna Śiva (worshipped as the Liṅga) as the true refuge—where devotion and surrender purify desire rather than inflate dominion and pride.
A practical takeaway is to counteract bhoga-driven pride through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Śiva-pūjā to the Liṅga, cultivating vairāgya (dispassion) and humility.
