Description of Nārada’s Delusion
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
It upholds dharma through atithi-satkāra (reverent hospitality): honoring realized sages is treated as honoring the divine, cultivating humility, purity of conduct, and receptivity to Shiva’s grace.
In Shaiva practice, service to Shiva’s devotees and respect to spiritual teachers supports Saguna Shiva worship—preparing the heart for proper pūjā, mantra-japa, and understanding of Shiva-tattva.
Practice guru/saint reverence and disciplined hospitality before worship—then perform Shiva pūjā with clean conduct, offering (arghya/pādya), and steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
