अग्निशुश्रूषणरतो वेदाध्ययनतत्परः । सुन्दरो रमणीयांगश्चन्द्रबिंबसमाकृतिः

Agni-service and Vedic recitation are outer supports for dharma that steady the mind; in Shaiva practice this steadiness matures into focused worship of Saguna Shiva—often through Linga-pūjā with mantra and offerings—leading the devotee toward deeper contemplation of Shiva beyond form.
It suggests disciplined daily worship such as tending the sacred fire (Agnihotra/Agni-sevā) and regular svādhyāya (Vedic recitation); for Shaiva sādhana, this pairs naturally with japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a purified, sattvic routine.
