Ainsi, ayant créé ces meilleurs des aspirants spirituels accomplis et voyant le but atteint, je devins satisfait, ô tigre parmi les sages — par la grâce de Mahādeva.
Brahmā (narrating within the Sṛṣṭi-khaṇḍa creation account)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Cosmic Event: completion of a phase of sarga; acknowledgment of Śiva’s prasāda as enabling cause
It teaches that even cosmic creation attains completion only through Mahādeva’s prasāda; in Shaiva Siddhānta terms, Pati (Śiva) is the ultimate enabler, and fulfillment arises from His grace rather than mere personal effort.
By emphasizing “Mahādeva’s grace,” the verse supports Saguna upāsanā—approaching Śiva as the gracious Lord who bestows prasāda; Linga worship is a primary Shaiva means of receiving that grace and stabilizing the sādhaka’s aim.
A practical takeaway is daily Śiva-prasāda orientation: japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a grace-centered prayer, optionally supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva disciplines to cultivate receptivity to Mahādeva’s prasāda.
