The Reason for Assuming the Swan and Boar Forms

Brahmā (in the creation narrative of the Sṛṣṭi Khaṇḍa)

Shiva Form: Sadāśiva

Cosmic Event: transition from jaḍa-sarga to cetana-sarga via īśvara-anugraha
It emphasizes Śiva’s anugraha (grace) as the decisive power behind manifestation and vitality—creation is not merely material formation (aṇḍa) but becomes living and meaningful only when consciousness (caitanya) is bestowed under Śiva’s lordship (Pati).
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva (Śaṅkara) as the accessible Lord whose presence enables the universe to function; Linga-worship similarly honors Śiva as the indwelling consciousness that sanctifies and enlivens all forms, including the cosmic form (brahmāṇḍa).
A key takeaway is meditation on Śiva as caitanya-dātā (giver of consciousness), paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” contemplating that all life and awakening arise through Śiva’s grace.
