Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the episode; the action described is by Brahmā)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
The verse presents stuti (praise) as a direct expression of Śiva-bhakti: when the mind becomes prasanna (clear and settled), devotion naturally flows as glorification of Pati (Śiva), which uplifts both the devotee and the listening sage.
By emphasizing “Śiva-yaśas” sung with love, the verse aligns with Saguna worship—approaching Śiva through name, glory, and qualities—often practiced through Linga-pūjā accompanied by hymns, nāma-japa, and recitation.
A practical takeaway is daily Śiva-stotra or nāma-saṅkīrtana with a calm mind—ideally alongside pañcākṣarī-japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”); if following Purāṇic observance, it may be paired with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness in devotion.
