Pour le bien du monde, enfant chérie, fais descendre ton envoûtement divin (mohā) sur Pinākin (Śiva), afin que Śambhu, au cœur de bon augure, accepte promptement une épouse en mariage.
Brahma
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: creative
The verse frames Śiva’s marriage as jagad-hita (world-welfare): even the Lord’s personal līlā supports cosmic order, enabling dharma and the unfolding of grace for beings bound by pāśa.
It highlights Saguna Śiva—Śambhu acting within the world through līlā—making Him approachable to devotees; such narratives nourish bhakti that culminates in realizing the same Lord beyond form, worshipped as the Liṅga.
A practical takeaway is steadiness in bhakti: worship Saguna Śiva with the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while remembering that even worldly events are guided by the Lord for jagad-hita.
