Description of Kāma’s Marriage
Sūta Gosvāmin (traditional Purāṇic narrator concluding the adhyāya while addressing the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Sthala Purana: Colophon verse marking the completion of the chapter ‘Kāmavivāha-varṇana’; no jyotirliṅga-sthala narrative is invoked here.
This is a chapter-colophon (adhyāya-samāpti) that preserves the textual boundary and title, supporting accurate recitation and remembrance—key Purāṇic disciplines that sustain bhakti toward Śiva as Pati (the Lord) in the Shaiva worldview.
While it does not directly describe Liṅga worship, it frames the Satī-khaṇḍa narrative within the Rudra-saṃhitā, where Saguna Śiva’s līlā is contemplated through stories; such structured adhyāya recitation is a traditional mode of devotional engagement with Śiva.
A practical takeaway is adhyāya-pāṭha: recite or listen to the completed chapter with śraddhā, optionally concluding with the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” as a devotional seal to the narration.
