Ô brāhmane, là même ce disque d’une férocité extrême s’émoussa : telle était la puissance irrésistible de ce Seigneur, bien qu’il fût sous les yeux mêmes du roi.

Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
It teaches that worldly power and even the fiercest weapons become ineffective before the supreme Lord (Pati); true safety and liberation arise from taking refuge in Shiva’s grace rather than in force.
Saguna Shiva is portrayed as the active, protecting Lord whose presence subdues destructive forces; Linga-worship similarly centers on approaching Shiva as the living refuge and guardian of dharma.
Cultivate śaraṇāgati (surrender) through japa of the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and steady remembrance of Shiva’s protective presence, especially during daily worship or Mahashivratri vrata.
