दक्षयज्ञे सत्या अपमानबोधः — Satī Encounters Disrespect at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice

Lord Shiva (instructing with a corrective, guru-like admonition within the Sati Khanda narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It teaches that Shiva is approached not through egoic claims or prideful certainty, but through humility, right understanding, and the detached devotional spirit exemplified by avadhūtas—pointing the seeker toward liberation through surrender.
It cautions against reducing Shiva to a single conceptual category—“only unmanifest” or merely an abstract principle—while affirming that genuine Shaiva practice honors Shiva as the transcendent Lord who is also worshipped through living traditions of devotion, including Liṅga-upāsanā and saintly renunciation.
Adopt humility while performing Shiva-upāsanā—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and a renunciant attitude (vairāgya); if practicing external rites, do them without pride, as an offering to Shiva.
