Satī Encounters Disrespect at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
Sūta Gosvāmin (traditional Purāṇic narrator concluding the chapter narration to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
This is a colophon verse marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually, it preserves the integrity of the transmission and signals that Satī’s counsel is to be received as an authoritative teaching within the Rudra Saṃhitā’s Satī Khaṇḍa.
Though not describing a ritual directly, it frames Satī’s discourse within the Śiva Mahāpurāṇa’s devotional theology, where teachings typically culminate in reverence to Śiva as Saguna (worshipful Lord) and as the supreme Pati who grants grace and liberation.
No specific practice is prescribed in this colophon; the practical takeaway is to continue study (śravaṇa/paṭhana) of the Satī Khaṇḍa with devotion, commonly supported in Śaiva practice by japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and remembrance of Śiva.
