शिवानुकम्पा, ब्रह्मणो निर्भयत्वं च (Śiva’s Compassion and Brahmā’s Fearlessness)

Alors elle—aux dents ravissantes et au sourire gracieux—resplendit tout près de Śaṅkara; assise sur le taureau, elle rayonnait telle Kālīkā à la fin de la course de la lune.

Cosmic Event: Candrānta imagery (waning moon’s end) evokes the liminal, tamasic threshold associated with Kālī symbolism.
The verse highlights Sati’s luminous devotion in Śiva’s immediate presence, indicating the Shaiva Siddhanta vision of Pati (Śiva) and Śakti (Sati) as inseparable—where nearness to Śiva through loving attendance leads the soul toward grace and spiritual upliftment.
By portraying Śiva in a relatable, manifest (saguṇa) narrative—Sati seated with him upon the bull—the text supports devotional contemplation of Śiva’s form and qualities, which in practice culminates in reverence to the Liṅga as the accessible focus of Śiva’s presence.
A practical takeaway is upāsanā through dhyāna: visualize Śiva with his vṛṣabha (bull) and Śakti beside him while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating steady closeness (abhyāsa) to Śiva in daily worship.
